How We Match Our Bengal Kittens with Their Fur-ever Home. (That’s You!)
Meet with NW Bengal.
Finding the right homes for our kittens starts with a meeting with prospective owners. We want to get to know you and the home that you are bringing the Bengal into. We also will naturally want to touch on questions around preferred coloring, temperament, and what you are looking for in your cat. We are happy to host the meeting at our home in Wauseon, Ohio, where you can meet our Kings and Queens, or if you prefer, we can chat on Zoom virtually.
Deposit.
Once you are vetted and you have confirmed that you are interested in a kitten for sale from our upcoming litter, your next step is to provide us with a deposit. We will set the deposit amount in our first meeting, and we can provide the payment details as well as an initial breeding contract. If, for any reason, the Queen does not have enough kittens or there is an issue with the kittens in the litter, we are happy to refund the deposit or keep it on the books for the next litter.
Updates on the litter.
The next step is one of the worst ones for our clients, and that is the waiting game. We will provide all the updates that we can with the Queen and the litter as they come along. We share all of our litters on social media and will continue to take photos and videos of all the kitties so you can see every square inch of them. If you are in the area, we are happy to arrange a play date with the kittens as well.
Collecting your Bengal cat.
Finally, it is time to collect your kitten. It is a big day for you and the cat, and we want to make this transition as smooth as possible. We will provide you with a package on your pick-up day, including all the kittens' legal paperwork, the signed breeder agreement, and the health record that you can share with the vet. As well, we will include a blanket to help ease the transition away from the Queen and a little goody bag for the road. This process will differ quite a bit if we are shipping the kitten to you, and that process is detailed on our shipping page.
What to do after you bring your kitten home...
The first few days are going to be eye-opening, especially if you have not had a kitten or adopted a cat before. For the best success, set up a small quiet room in your home with food, water, a litter box and a bed with toys to introduce the cat to the home. Allow the kitten to explore at their own pace and gradually introduce them to the rest of the house. It will take some time, but being patient is essential to setting yourself and your cat up for success.

As a fully accredited breeder, we want to get to know our buyers to ensure that they are the right fit for our cats. The first step is to express your interest by calling or filling out a quote form, and we can set up a quick interview to talk about the process and get to know you a little more. We are also happy to provide in-person meetings and you can even meet the Queens and Kings we have at our home. For those not in Ohio or from out of town, we are happy to provide virtual meetings and can even offer personalized delivery services for your kitty, ensuring a non-traumatic shipping experience for you and your cat, if that is your preference. Once we have met with you, we will ask for a small deposit and provide you with updates up until adoption day, where you will pay the remaining amount and take your cat home.
